May 2008 marked the birth of Hidden Silence’s first full-length manifestation.
Forged under the banner of Titanium Record in Johore, the album became a defining chapter in the band’s evolution. Though the members carried years of experience from previous musical entities, this recording introduced a new sonic experiment — the fusion of digital precision and analog force.
The drums were executed using a Yamaha Stage Custom acoustic kit, triggered through impulse detection and converted into high-quality MIDI signals. A controversial approach for death metal at the time, yet the process shaped a sound that was uniquely sharp, precise, and devastating.
What began as an uncertain experiment emerged as a production of overwhelming clarity and power. Upon completion, even the band stood stunned by the crushing sonic impact. Black Hearted Spiritual quickly gained recognition within the local metal scene as one of the cristal-cleared local productions of the time , pushing Hidden Silence to a new level of presence and recognition.
The compositions themselves trace back to 1996, written by Earth@Abu and later refined together with Sam @ Oren. The material channels fundamental ideologies of strength, inner conviction, and the relentless pursuit of purpose — expressed through the uncompromising spirit of metal itself.
